Modern Folk Music of America calls Skribe “a down-to-earth, no-frills garage folk outfit out of Maryland making solid good-time tunes, for whatever good times means to you.”

They broke into the Maryland folk scene back in 2009, inspiring comparisons to a kazoo-playing John Prine or Tom Waits. But Aaron Yealdhall—the man behind Skribe—is a unique musical talent unto himself that you have to experience firsthand to fully appreciate.

And this is the right time for that, with Skribe’s newly “Postcards,” a collection of eight songs with him backed by a full band recorded at Easton’s Sweetfoot Studios with Shea Springer. According to the blog Gigspot, “Postcards” is “exactly the album many of his fans already heard in their heads.
