Easton's 4th of July Celebration

Easton’s 4th of July Carnival and Fireworks Extravaganza, sponsored by Easton Utilities and the Town of Easton, returns on Friday, June 26th with a new and improved location for the Carnival and Fireworks display.  The grounds are located on the lot at Waterside Village at the corner of the Easton Bypass and St. Michaels Road, behind Target.  The new location, necessitated by the construction of Harris Teeter on Marlboro Rd, will boast a larger viewing area with better view of the Fireworks display, which this year will feature a spectacular ground display as well as the aerial show.

Easton’s Carnival & 4th of July Celebration was created in 1991 by  a group of community minded patriots who wanted a way for their families to celebrate Independence Day in Easton and honor service members of the first Gulf War.  In 2003, the Avalon Foundation partnered with the current organizers and took over management of the carnival and 4th of July events. Today, the celebration offers a week long opportunity to enjoy the carnival and culminates on the 4th of July with food and free fireworks and live music featuring steel drum band Spark in da Pan and the US Navy Band Commodores.

Featuring rides, games and concessions provided by Shaw & Sons Amusements, the carnival is open June 26 through July 3 from 6pm-11pm and 4pm-11pm on July 4th.  In addition to title sponsors Easton Utilities and the Town of Easton, the Avalon Foundation would like to thank Target, BET Investments, the Talbot Optimist Club, VFW, Easton Police Department and all first-response personnel.  The carnival averages over 10,000 attendees each year, and it would not be possible without the contributions of these town partners.
