Wild & Scenic Film Festival

  • Avalon Theatre 40 East Dover Street Easton, MD, 21601 United States (map)

What happens in Easton between the Waterfowl Festival and Thanksgiving? The Wild & Scenic Film Festival hosted by Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy on Friday, November 18th! This year’s film festival theme is A Change of Course. It will feature films that will leave you on edge with their cliffhanging moments, to taking a 60 second chill pill, to really appreciating the important places you will go during your life. All of these films focus on communities taking action within their local environment or showcasing how beautiful their natural surrounding can be if a person takes a moment to slow down. There is a film for everyone! You don’t want to miss out on this night of films. Guests will enjoy appetizers from local restaurants, an open beer and wine bar, amazing silent auction items, and back by popular demand—the MRC Giving Tree! Did we mention that local celebrity Jay Fleming has created a short 3 minute trailer about his latest book, Working the Water. MRC is excited to have Jay Fleming join us for a night of films. All of the proceeds from the film festival to go support Midshore Riverkeeper Conservancy, an environmental non-profit with the mission to protect and restore the Midshore rivers.
