  • Stoltz Listening Room 40 East Dover Street Easton, MD, 21601 United States (map)

Tinsmith will be here as part of a block booking with Carpe Diem Arts. During the day, they will be performing at the Chesapeake Center for adults with disabilities, and at the Talbot County Senior Center.

Tinsmith is a high-energy folk band playing traditional music of Ireland, Scotland and Appalachia. The band features Rowan Corbett (guitar, bones, irish bouzouki, vocals) who is a current member of the Carolina Chocolate Drops and also tours with Rhiannon Giddens, Brooke Parkhurst (tinwistle, banjo, guitar, flute, vocals) -- Rima Parkhurst's daughter! -- and Henry Cross (bass, vox), a founding member of Big Village.  Citing influences from blues to bluegrass, from funk to jazz to mountain music, they bring traditional songs and tunes into the new century. Known for their fun and energetic performances and for the taste and delicacy of their arrangements, Tinsmith has been making audiences dance since 1997.
