EASTON — The annual “Party on the Point: Summer Send Off” saw an estimated 300 people enjoying food, beverages, crafts and entertainment on the waterfront Saturday afternoon and evening, Aug. 29.
The party is the brainchild of Easton Point Marina co-owner Tristan Price, who along with other marina owners John Nicklin and Billy Crandel cleared out the boatyard to make way for the crowd and welcomed guests who paid $5 at the gate.
Pit barbecue and all the side salads were available from the Shore Barbecue Company. Four types of beer were on tap from Kelly Distributors.
Vendors showed and sold gifts and crafts.
The large marine workshop was also cleared out to accommodate Kenny Knopp and the Miles River Band, who kept the crowd entertained with music until late in the evening.
The event was created to highlight the attractiveness of the location and the business potential of Easton Point.
Proceeds from the party benefit the Easton Business Alliance, whose mission is to encourage business and, in the case of Easton Point, encourage people to use the town’s waterfront.
